Palazzo Guicciardini Corsi Salviati

Palazzo Guicciardini Corsi Salviati, built towards the end of the 17th century, is centrally located in the via Ghibellina and shows the heritage of the various noble families who lived here over the centuries. One example is the Corsi family, who restructured the building in 1816 and completely renewed its furniture; you can still see their coat of arms in the centre of the facade. The design of the pediment has been inspired by the works of the architect Buontalenti while we find a balcony with a large window under a broken tympanum above the central gate. The windows themselves have rusticated frames and arched pediments, with marked spiral ornaments. The building’s 350 square meters contain fresco decorations and vaulted galleries. Since 1901 the monumental palace has been listed as part of the national artistic heritage.
